As with the Bruce Campbell box set I’ve watched so you don’t have to (that’s unfair, one of those films is objectively brilliant), I thought it would be a bit of fun to have all the Frankenstein franchise Late Reviews in one place with easy links to the individual films.

By The Decade: Your Favourite 70s Films

I mentioned in my original piece for this week’s By The Decade that I struggled to whittle down my choices to just seven, and from the replies on Twitter, I’m really glad to see I wasn’t the only one!

By The Decade: 5 From The Fifties

Here we are again then, with the latest By The Decade piece to help expand my cinematic horizons and discover new films from eras I might not be overly familiar with.

Movie soups and stews

Sometimes, particularly with long-running franchises, it can become difficult to distinguish one entry from another, and they all just sort of mush together into a cinematic soup or stew.

That’s not to say any one entry is especially bad (though that may often be the case), and it’s not even solely down to big name franchises, sometimes just styles and genres of films.
